Badly Drawn Boy to Headline Barking Folk Festival

Seth Lakeman and Badly Drawn Boy are set to headline Barking Folk Festival this weekend, 11-12th June.

The free entry event launched for the first time last year, with Billy Bragg proudly playing his hometown, within the picturesque Abbey Ruins. Barking Folk Festival is now one of the key events in the London borough’s Summer of Festivals programme, and takes place across Barking town centre, and the Abbey Green and Ruins.

Abbey Ruins Live is a free but ticketed event from 5pm, following celebrations on the Green and in the Square from 11am. The festival celebrates the best in English and World folk music and dance, plus poetry, street theatre and art, with delicious street food and a licensed bar.

In the meantime, here’s Badly Drawn Boy – aka Damon Gough – playing Glastonbury…

Seth Lakeman – who is due to release his new album, Ballads Of The Broken Few, this autumn – headlines Saturday, and Badly Drawn Boy on Sunday.

Get your free ticket for Abby Ruins Live through Eventbrite for both Saturday and Sunday‘s event.
