Blossoms Drop New Single ‘There’s A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls)’

Blossoms have just released their new single ‘There’s A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls).’ The track is the second single taken from upcoming album, Cool Like You, and is indicative of the sonic progression Blossoms have made since their eponymous debut – showcasing their subtle synth riffs and soaring pop melodies.

Check out their acoustic performance of the new single below, and official release HERE.

Since forming in 2013 Blossoms have enjoyed consistent and remarkable success. The band were on the BBCs ‘Sound Of’ new music list for 2016 and upon its release later that year, their debut album Blossoms entered the album chart at number 1 –  later going on to be nominated for the 2017 Mercury Prize and a BRIT Award.

‘I Can’t Stand It’, the first single to be released from the forthcoming album, has been playlisted across Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio X, Virgin Radio & Absolute Radio – as well as racking up over one and a half million streams and counting.

The band have played numerous sold out shows all over the world, and have just returned from an extended run of arena dates, supporting Noel Gallagher across Europe. Blossoms will embark on a headline UK tour this May including two nights and a matinee at their hometown venue, Stockport Plaza. The tour will also take in sold out dates at London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum and Manchester’s O2 Apollo.

The band recently set up their own Stockport based label, Very Clever Records. Their first signing, Fuzzy Sun – who Blossoms have produced and mixed for – recently released their debut EP, Want Love, which went straight to number 10 on the iTunes album chart. Fuzzy Sun will be joining Blossoms on their May tour later this year.

Tickets for the remaining shows are available HERE.
