Field Day Kicks Off First Summer in Brockwell Park w/ Erykah Badu, Four Tet, Fever Ray & More

Once more Field Day Festival kick starts the summer with its unwavering dedication to showcasing world-class artists from all genres. For its 12th instalment, the festival has found a new home in South London’s Brockwell Park.

Headlining this year’s festival is one of the world’s most respected contemporary artists, Erykah Badu. Since her debut album Baduizm earned her legions of loyal fans, the Grammy-winning soul singer has been a uniquely celebrated performer.

Friday’s line up also features: Seminal stones thrown producer Madlib, the multi-talented jazz saxophonist Masego; Ninja Tune’s Jordan Rakei who will bring his soulful, jazz and hip-hop driven sound to London; and legendary Lee Fields and the Expressions. South London’s very own Moses Boyd is another can’t miss on the Friday schedule.

The line-up for Saturday is a profusion of top acts, including: iconic former lead singer of the Knife, Fever Ray performing a UK festival exclusive; visionary producer Four Tet; and Odd Future collaborator Earl Sweatshirt. Nils Frahm will deliver his unconventional combination of electronic and classic music, fierce New York feminist rapper Princess Nokia will return to London; and Charlotte Gainsburg is touring with her brilliant album Rest from 2017.

Heavy hitters like: Kurupt FM, Mount Kimbie, The Comet is Coming, Oumou Sangaré and Ezra Collective round out the Saturday line-up.
