Ganor Dominic Introduces Lemon Tree for SS17

Luxury footwear brand, Ganor Dominic, have just released the look book for their spring/summer collection – Lemon Tree. The sister duo, who named the brand after their father, launched their debut collection in 2016 and soon gained popularity for their unique footwear designs. Lady Gaga, being a notable fan, wore the Apollo pumps to this year’s Grammy Museum Awards.

Creative Director, Ana Dominic – who teams with Brand Director, Katherine – recently graduated from London College of Fashion, where she studied BA footwear design. She won the 2015 National Footwear Design Student of the Year award for her final project, which focused heavily on Greek architecture and art, and this continued to be the main inspiration for their future brand.

The face of Greek God Apollo carries through into the SS17 collection – as seen on previous designs, such as the Hypnose and the Clymene – with the addition of more wearable and colourful products, including the striking Electra heel, available in bright yellow, white and black, with a unique leather buckled feature that is worn around the calf, giving the appearance of a boot from the ankle up. Kikka, a suede lace up shoe, also adds a pop of colour to the collection, available in dusty pink, yellow and blue.

Lemon Tree is the first collection to have a mid-heel, which the designer noted a demand for in previous ranges. Harmonia is a modern sandal with a 60 mm heel and asymmetrical black sole, available in four different colours and heel finishes. The dusty pink shoe is a complete suede finish all over, the tan and nude have a marble effect heel and the black shoe is finished with gold matte.

Ganor Dominic’s SS17 designs – such as the Chronos sneaker and Ares soldier lace up boot – also allow flexibility with the 3D front panel with signature face design able to be removed. Quality is a defining aspect of this brand, which only uses leather from a family run factory in Italy that has been manufacturing products for over two generations.

Traditional shoe design combined with innovative technological and artistic ideas, gives Ganor Dominic a unique yet credible image in the fashion world. Check out ganordominic.com for autumn/winter 2016.
