If you haven’t seen House of Holland’s AW17 collection, stop what you’re doing right now and check it out, because it is one of the greatest collections that was released this season at London Fashion Week. Combining the ‘girly’ with an authentic western cowboy style, Holland gave us playful prints and colours to bring a pop art wearable fashion to the runway.
The collection was colourfully diverse, with half of the collection appearing in pastels, the other half in bold reds and blues, all set against exciting and quirky patterns such as racing checkers and stars. Some of the looks were complemented with cowboy hats and boots in matching prints which rung true to Holland’s unique style. Sweatshirts emblazoned with phrases such as ‘bitches’ and ‘daddy’ gave a nod to a ’50s diners combined with a modern edge. Long furry monochrome coats graced the catwalk making it almost impossible to pick a favourite look out of the 36 appearances. We also saw plaid, flame and star motifs and fringe detailing, proving the extensive work and attention that went in to creating the collection.
As ever, Henry Holland has impressed us with these amazing looks, making us excited for Autumn… which never usually happens.
