On Repeat: TEDDY’s ‘Fulfilling Romance’

I’m a man, and I’m a queen/that’s the way, it’s always been…

Fulfilling Romance’ is the second single from London based, synth-pop outfit, TEDDY.

The track combines throbbing bass lines with beats as tropical as the curtains on their cover sleeve, and tender lyrics about coming out and only having one chance in life to fulfil romance.

“In many senses it preaches the predictable, that it’s okay to be gay. But it also says it’s okay to be gay and wear a rugby shirt,” says Tom Falle, who shares lead vocals and keys with Eddy Bailhache.

The band is completed by Alex Glover on guitar, and following several distinctly Withnail & I living arrangements – when Falle and Bailhache, born within a week of each other on an island close to the coast of Normandy, France, were first reunited in London – they now spend their studio hours in a ‘dark crypt’, where they confess their sins of dirty discos, techno nights and terrible Tinder dates over coffee.

‘Fulfilling Romance’ is available digitally on November 6th, and 7” Vinyl (with bonus track ‘Lovebirds’) on December 11th.
