Otherkin Unveil ‘Yeah, I Know’ & Tour Dates

Ahead of the release of their new EP, The New Vice, Otherkin have unveiled their new single ‘Yeah, I Know’, the follow up to heavyweight thumper ‘I Was Born’.

Recorded in a sweaty shack outside their native Dublin, and mixed by Jolyon Thomas (Slaves) the EP is a riotous nod to some of the 4-piece’s shared influences – The Clash, Blur and The Ramones. Fiercely exciting, it thrills on all levels. From the grungy drive of ‘Yeah, I Know’ and ‘Howling’s chunky riffs, to the carefree attitude on ‘White Heat’, all packing a defiant punch with Luke Reilly’s vocals.

Otherkin’s story began in Canada when Luke Reilly (vocals, guitar), Conor Wynne (guitar) and David Anthony (bass) met on holiday – sitting on a porch, playing guitar. Drummer Rob Summons joined the band later back in Ireland and Otherkin was born. Early gigs in college dorms and house parties gave way to regular shows on Dublin’s vibrant live venue circuit, which in turn blossomed into a step up to the Irish festival carousel – Longitude, Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices – in 2014. They released The 201 EP last year.

The New Vice EP is out 17th June via Rubyworks.
