Pitchfork Music Festival Paris: Latest Wave of Exciting Acts Announced for November Event

Pitchfork Music Festival Paris has announced the latest wave of artists for this year’s event, taking place from 1-3 November at Grande Halle de la Villette, an iconic location in the heart of Paris.

Now in its eighth year, Grande Halle de la Villette, a former slaughterhouse and now cultural centre, has been the festival’s home since 2011 and will host some of the finest names from the international indie scene across the three days. Recently announced acts include electro-funk duo Chromeo, German DJ and producer Koze , Australia surf rockers Rolling Blackout Coastal Fever and New Zealand’s psych band Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

They join the already stellar line up that includes the woozy sounds of Mac DeMarco, Scottish synth-pop trio CHVRCHES riding high after the release of their third album, Blood Orange, a.k.a. the multi talented producer, writer, singer-songwriter and director Dev Hynes and the magnificent indie icons Bon Iver. There is also strong French representation on the eclectic billing, including new wave luminary Etienne Daho.

The Paris event follows July’s sister event in Chicago, headlined by Tame Impala, Fleet Foxes and Ms Lauryn Hill. It is also preceded by the Pitchfork Avant Garde, the opening parties which span Paris’ Bastille neighbourhood on 30 and 31 October. With 46 bands playing across seven venues, the likes of Hop Along, IDER, The Courtneys and Hatchie are part of the line up playing in venues including Café de la Danse, Badaboum and Pop Up!.

Three day passes (€120) and day tickets (€45-55) for the main event are now on sale HERE. Further act announcements are expected in the coming months. Details of Pitchfork Avant Garde are available HERE.
