Sports Couture: Lacoste x Maison Lesage

In celebration of the polo shirt, LACOSTE has teamed up with haute couture embroiderer, Lesage, on a range of eight couture polos to completely re-define the idea of a simple cotton polo shirt, to something of intricate beauty.

Pieces include Crocodile Story, a cotton piqué polo dress made with over 350 hours of hand fabrication, and Game Set Match, a sleeveless cotton polo created with 210 hours of hand embroidery by the embroidery house.

France’s strongest emerging and established talent have been chosen to showcase the pieces; models Audrey Marnay and Laetitia Casta feature, likewise the ‘Girlhood’ standout Karidja Toure, actress Emmanuelle Seigner and DJ Clara 3000.

The limited edition collection is available on order now from retailers, including Le Bon Marché Paris and Dover Street Market London and Tokyo, and will be in store at the LACOSTE Champs-Élysées flagship as well as online from July 25.

You can find some more accessible versions dropping in Dover Street Market this week, which offer a more minimal idea of Lesage’s embroidery.
