Valentine’s: 10 Gift Ideas for Your Lo Lo Loved One

12 February 2017 by

It’s that time of the year that you either love or hate, completely dependent upon whether you’re coupled up or spending the night with friends. This year, we implore you to get in the mood no matter what your relationship status, even if that means treating a friend, family member, or yourself (we really don’t blame you). To help you out, we’ve compiled a creative gift list for inspiration this Valentine’s Day.

For Your Creative Cutie   Instax Mini 8, £64.99
This is probably one of our favourite valentine’s gift this year, and is available in a range of colours, for him or for her! The instax mini 8 is not only adorable, but creates memories in seconds, churning out cute Polaroid’s that you take and super easy to use!. You can even add a scrapbook with the present, so they can put their photos somewhere special – the gift that keeps on giving!

Skin Chemists, Rose Quartz Age Defence Youth Facial Oil, £150For Your Makeup Maniac
If you know someone that loves makeup, then you know that they never get sick of receiving it. Ever. We’ve found a few valentine-esque products that will be sure to make them break out in a lipstick covered grin. The first is a skin product or base, which hydrates the skin and defends against skin ageing, it’s also pink – total win for valentine’s day. Skin Chemists Rose Quartz Age Defence Youth Facial Oil is beneficial for all ages, and feels and smells amazing.

If you’re looking for something just as cute, but not as pricey, you should know that a makeup lover can never have enough makeup brushes. These ones are great, and again, colour appropriate for valentine’s day with purple chrome handles. From Blank Canvas, our favourite has to be the F20 Makeup Brush, which has loads of uses and is just as good as more pricey brands such as Real Techniques!

Joan Collins, Katrina Lipstick, £18 smlOf course, we had to include a lipstick – if you’ve got a hot date or a S.O. you’ll probably receive a couple of smooches, and will need to something to top up your lip colour with. We love the Joan Collins collection for its variety, but also its formula and decadent gold packaging. We know the cold weather can cause dry lips and all the liquid lipsticks dry them up even more, but this buttery pigmented formula is perfect for Valentine’s. Our favourite colour is Katrina.

Keep your loved one hanging on the telephone – the second-best place to keep them tied up – with this quintessentially British dog ‘n’ bone, originally launched in 1967. Ted Baker Candle, £28For Your Scent Addict
These are perhaps some of the coolest candles we’ve come across. Not only do the range of Ted Baker residence-themed candles smell phenomenal, they also have historical backstories printed on the sides of the boxes, so you can learn a little something too. The candles themselves have residence inspired prints on the packaging, each one inspired by a different city. It’s a candle you’ll want to keep even after it’s run out.

Bulldog For Your Mug, £8For Your Skin Carer
As we’ve mentioned, the cold weather can leave our skin feeling parched and in need of some hydration. For your man, Bulldog have put together great gift sets that’ll make sure his skin stays nice and moisturised. They range in price and come with cute side orders, like this one, where all the packaging is nestled inside a mug.

Lastly, and definitely not least, Lacoste has brought out some completely colour appropriate kicks for Valentine’s.
