Too Many Zooz: New York-based YouTube Sensations Get Set to Play Shepherds Bush Empire as Part of EU Tour

New York-based YouTube sensations and Beyoncé collaborators, Too Many Zooz, will play a one-off UK show at Shepherds Bush Empire, this Friday 9th March, as they embark on a string of European shows following their soundtrack to the latest Google ‘Pixel 2’ Smartphone ad (watch it HERE).

FMS had the pleasure of seeing the energetic trio play their sold-out show at KOKO in Camden last year, and the upsize in venue this time around is testament to their ever-increasing popularity in the UK.

Too Many Zooz’ conception happened by chance when the three musicians met whilst busking in Union Square subway station, NYC. Commuter-shot footage of the trio’s ebullient live busking swiftly went viral on YouTube, racking up millions of views, and it wasn’t long before the doors of opportunity began to fling open…

One evening the band received a call from Beyoncé herself, inviting the guys to her studio. They ended up performing on two tracks of her Grammy-nominated album, Lemonade, followed by an internationally broadcast live performance with Beyoncé and The Dixie Chicks at the 2016 CMA Awards in Nashville, opening up this posse of misfits to an even wider global audience.

Too Many Zooz’s manic self-styled ‘BrassHouse’ music is an irresistible racket and shotgun blast to the senses with sounds and styles further flung than Elon Musk’s daydreams. They’re a Hadron Collider of percussive jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, Day Glow, Funk and EDM mashed with physical performances of tameless percussionist ‘King of Sludge’, dancing baritone sax wunderkind ‘Leo P’ and dexterously deft trumpeter, Matt Doe. This beautifully chaotic jumble is surely wild and their rambunctious live shows are guaranteed to sweep the sturdiest of music fans clean off their feet.

Don’t miss the rare opportunity to see the band on these shores once again!
