Greta Isaac Reveals Breath-Taking New Pop Track ‘PAYRI$E’

Greta Isaac’s newest single, ‘PAYRI$E’, is a culmination of her musical styles, with its outrageous synth-pop melody introducing the striking new track. The fifth song from her upcoming EP, I Think You’d Hate It Here, the singer soars higher than ever on one of her most anthemic choruses yet.

Combining pop, rock, and electronic, ‘PAYRI$E’ is breakneck in its pace and unapologetic in its delivery. Greta’s brashest song to date, the heavy synths waste no time to kick in and get the song off to a dancing start, before the Welsh singer’s arpeggiated voice builds up to a truly powerful vocal hook.

“I think for a lot of my life I’ve made myself smaller in order to accommodate other people.”

“I think for a lot of my life I’ve made myself smaller in order to accommodate other people. Even when I’ve intentionally made myself bigger, funnier, prettier, it’s been to entertain or perform or to try and facilitate the perfect conditions for how I’m experienced by other people,”  says Greta, who wrote the single with Martin Luke Brown and Nova Blu with the intention of creating something intense and bold as the result.

“I tend to take on a bit of a character when I write, but I wanted to use the process of writing ‘PAYRI$E’ as a way to take up some space for myself and demand more from my life and from my relationships.

Having seen continuous recent support from UK media, being named as a Sunday Times Culture ‘Breaking Act’ as well as Radio One ‘Future Artist’, Greta is one of the hottest new acts in British music. Ready to celebrate the release of the new single with a headline show at Jack Saunders’ Hopscotch club night, Greta is sure to continue her rise.

‘PAYRI$E’ is out now.
