This week, we check out the weekend threads of Lauren Burnett, founder of Luella Rockerfella, a fashion boutique that can be found online and in store at Elmina Lifestyle Salon and Spa – the biggest and most luxurious lifestyle salon in Jersey.
Luella Rockefella stocks both men’s and women’s vintage, along with a range of brands that complement her recently launched own label, such as Parisian brands FRNCH and Neon Rose – a favourite amongst the Hadid sisters. LA brand Selfie Leslie is a new addition to the store, where Lauren also conducts style appointments.
Friday: Tonight I’m off to my friend Jason Butler’s art studio – where like-minded creatives meet up to play pool in a warehouse style building, amongst some amazing artwork – to have a drink before going on to a boxing night put on by Leonis ABC. I created the makeup palette using purple and greys on the eyes and a velvet look orange and red on the lips.

Saturday: I started off at Jason Butler’s studio before heading to the Royal Yacht Hotel to see famous House DJ Roger Sanchez perform a set. Quite a few of my friends had rooms booked, where the party continued after the event. As I don’t drink I don’t usually last the duration! I knew it would be a hot and sweaty event, and didn’t want to feel restricted in dancing or overheating, so I wore the stunning floral playsuit by Selfie Leslie which will be available to buy at Luella Rockerfella on Monday! Makeup by Sandra Dos Santos tied the look together. I particularly loved the natural skin coloured eye liner from MAC, which I felt opened up the eye. I changed the lip colour later in the evening to Tom Ford‘s Guillermo.

Sunday: Sunday Selfie! This look was created by John at Elmina and it was based on my love for Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, and also Charlize Theron. I love the slicked back hair as it really allows the makeup to speak for itself. My makeup was created by Cathleen Morrison aka Kate. Kate was amazing at following the mood I’d requested. I wanted not-too-heavy eyes with a gold shimmer and red lips. I used MAC’s Ruby Woo on my lips. I love to be comfortable on a Sunday. I had to pop into the salon and restock some of my products. I love the super soft and high finished sweater by ULLR & SKADE (a Nottingham based company), and my Renegade jeans are from a luxurious women’s online fashion boutique run by local blogger, Beth Moore. I always will support women doing it for themselves. This outfit was perfect for sushi and green tea with my girls, the perfect way to end my weekend.
