Following her recent single ‘Other Side’, 19-year-old British artist Emma McGrath has continued her run of new music with the brand new and intimate track ‘Fall With You’. This the final track to be released ahead of her forthcoming EP Keep Your Eyes Open (Silent Minds Part II) in January 2020.
A soaring anthem, ‘Fall With You’ is likely to gain Emma her most significant commercial attention to date. It’s reassuring and empowering in equal measure and speaks of letting go of anxieties and taking those much-needed risks.
“Sometimes you’ve got to fall to figure out where you’re going. When you do fall you realise that 99.9% of the time, it ends up in a good way.”
“Sometimes you’ve got to fall to figure out where you’re going. When you do fall you realise that 99.9% of the time, it ends up in a good way,” says Emma, who admits she was inspired by her mother when writing the song: “She can be afraid of change, and taking risks, so I wrote it with her in mind.”
Emma first picked up a guitar at the age of 10 and has been writing songs since she was 12. Having been by her own admission “not very good at talking,” songwriting quickly became a vital means of expression.
Emma self-released her debut EP The Judgement in 2014 with acclaim from BBC Introducing who awarded her ‘Track of The Week’ twice over. Her latest EP Silent Minds took universal praise. Lead single ‘Love You Better’ featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday US playlist, trended globally worldwide and achieved over 1.9 million streams to date.
‘Fall With You’ is out now.
