Singer-songwriter, Benji Brown, has made his much anticipated debut with new single ‘Déjà Vu’; a smooth and soulful pop jam, featuring flowing vocals, lush strings and a melody so catchy you’ll be singing it forever after.
“Music has always been a part of my life,” says the 21-year-old, who grew up in Northampton. “Growing up surrounded by powerful songwriters I’ve never felt I could compete, until now. With age has come a maturity in my music and artistry that is a commentary of emotions over the past year.”
Benji started posting online five years ago at just 16 years of age, uploading cover videos to Instagram and YouTube and has built up an impressive following; “I remember getting my first follow and was so shocked, my following went from 100 followers to what it is now at 12,000.”

Benji is now based in London and has been writing for the last year, while preparing to release more new tracks over the coming months. He created his first ever music video to accompany ‘Déjà Vu’, which was directed by Brad O’Neill. The moody and atmospheric clip features Benji and his co-star Samy in various scenes around London, “The music video is very edgy and tasteful, it features myself and the beautiful Samy who is a YouTube friend of mine, I really enjoyed filming it.
“I would love to perform my music live soon,” he continues, having only performed live a few times in the past, but now being offered support slots on tours with other artists. “Hopefully I can do that sooner rather than later!”
Benji has also dabbled in fashion, launching his own clothing line – which was a huge success with his followers, selling out very quickly. He’s currently designing a new line of hoodies, which he hopes to drop soon.
With an army of fans online, and a critically acclaimed debut under his belt, things are looking good for Benji Brown.
