Manchester’s PINS Announce Jamie Hince Produced Single & Tour Dates

Manchester five-piece, PINS, have just released their new single ‘Serve The Rich’ – a bold and edgy earworm produced by The Kills Jamie Hince.

“Jamie played us a reworked version of the demo and we were all blown away. I felt like he’d reached into my head and created the sound I’d been imagining,” said the band. “The track is about how sometimes we feel like we only exist to make money for other people, it’s a swizz. We are promised things by saviours, these people who have come to rescue us, but it’s not true. ‘Serve The Rich’ was my opportunity to assert myself’ I’m saying that we as PINS, musicians, women, Labour voters and feminists, are here to save the kids, we’re here to save each other, we’re here to save ourselves.”

‘Serve The Rich’ follows on from PINS recent Bad Thing EP release, which included the single Aggrophobe featuring Iggy Pop and culminated in a short film, largely shot in the band’s hometown of Manchester, and featuring five separate videos that made up one 20-minute film.

PINS – completed by Faith Vern (vocals/guitar), Anna Donigan (bass), Lois Macdonald (guitar), Sophie Galpin (drums) and Kyoko Swan (keys, guitar) – will be touring the UK and Ireland in November, following nine support dates with The Breeders in October, and The Buzzcocks in Manchester on the 19th. Full tour dates below.
