Ahead of supporting the hotly tipped Confidence Man on their highly anticipated UK tour next month, Mind Enterprises, the pseudonym for Turin-raised producer Andrea Tirone, has released his latest Retro/Italo disco anthem βMont Blancβ.
Opening with a soaring ensemble of synth risers, βMont Blancβ builds incredible anticipation. When the beat eventually kicks in you canβt resist its head nodding pulsating rhythm. With its groovy bassline slipping you into a state of trance, coupled with the spellbinding drum patterns and comic textures, Mind Enterprises creates an outstanding retro soundscape that stands up to the greats.
Saving the entrance of the vocals to the halfway mark of the near seven-minute experience, Mind Enterprises exudes an infectious confidence to let the music play its course, not confining to the norms of today’s three-and-a-half-minute radio-ready treadmill. It feels euphoric, hedonistic even. As you listen you can picture the scene at a rave with βMont Blancβ as the soundtrack, itβs completely encapsulating, trip inducing, and makes you itch to move your feet.
“What if Kraftwerk wrote one more song for their great Trans-Europe Express LP, but they made it disco?”
On the track Mind Enterprises said: βThe question that inspired me working on βMont Blancβ: what if Kraftwerk wrote one more song for their great Trans-Europe Express LP, but they made it disco?”
The release follows the critically acclaimed Panorama EP that Mind Enterprises released last year, the lead single of which, βIdolβ, quickly racked up over one million streams. Accompanied with a series of retro inspired visual content, including not only music videos but also dance tutorials and horoscopes, all with recurring characters, Mind Enterprises created and continues to create a whole world of β80s inspired mania.
With a live experience thatβs said to be just as colourful and larger-than-life as his songs and videos, featuring an abundance of analogue synthesisers and pastel shell-suits, Mind Enterprises is the perfect fit to support Confidence Man on their UK tour next month. You can catch him supporting the Aussie duo at the dates listed below. Mind Enterprises will also be returning to London on 1st May for his own headline show at The Victoria. With a new album said to be in the works for release this year, we canβt wait to join Mind Enterprises on his next disco odyssey.
βMont Blancβ is out now.
