Australian pop maverick, E^ST (aka 21-year-old Mel Bester) has just dropped the follow-up to her brilliant single ‘Talk Deep’. Along with the latter, new track ‘Flight Path’ provides a taster of her full-length debut album, I’m Doing It, set for release in 2020, along with the announcement of some key live shows in the New Year.
“‘Flight Path’ is a bittersweet song that tells the story of going from being close and intimate with someone, to being complete strangers,” notes E^ST, who crafted the song with her long-term collaborator, Jim Eliot (Halsey, Ellie Goulding). “It touches on the odd feeling of being alone again and all the possibilities that come with that.”

With three EPs and a varied collection of singles under her belt, E^ST is writing her own trajectory. Her early career highlights include the global single ‘Life Goes On’, the breakout single ‘I Don’t Lack Imagination’ and the bold empowerment anthem ‘Blowjob’.
In addition to her own tracks, E^ST also featured on KWAME’s current single ‘NOBODY’. Having toured Australia with the likes of Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At The Disco, Allday, Mallrat and Amy Shark, E^ST has also exceeded 35 million streams; well and truly proving that she is one of alt-pop’s most exciting rising talents.
‘Flight Path’ is out now.
